More than slogans

Published in the Eugene Register Guard April 6, 2021

Stand for Children is a statewide group of parents, students and community members who advocate for better schools. In Eugene, we are the volunteers who knock on your door to inform you of a school bond measure, to help restore career and technical education to high schools or to renew a school levy.

When students need help, they need more than slogans, they need action. And who has been there every time with us — pounding the pavement, knocking on the doors, listening to parents and voters at the door, speaking out for equity, walking her talk? Judy Newman, our school board representative.

She has 40 years of experience in education, from pre-school to special education to being on the faculty of the UO College of Education. She takes all that experience and puts it into action to help children.

Our leaders unanimously endorse Judy Newman for re-election to the 4J School Board.
